How to restart the device

To restart the device, press and hold on the power button on the left-hand side of the device. After a few seconds, different power options will appear on-screen. Tap Restart to restart the device.

How to force restart the device

Force restarting the Taxi Butler PLUS can help with fixing network connection issues & minor glitches and bugs, and applying new configurations. Force restarting is also helpful when the touchsreen is unresponsive.

Continue holding

After a few seconds, the screen will turn black. Continue holding the button until the Taxi Butler logo appears on-screen.

How to reload the configuration

Reloading the configuration on the Taxi Butler PLUS can be done in the following way:
  1. Click on the menu icon in the top left of the screen
  2. Under the “Information” section, you can either click on “Device information” or “Connection information”
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page if necessary and click on “Reload config”

The device is “BLOCKED”

Sometimes, the Taxi Butler PLUS may display a “BLOCKED” message on-screen, this happens when the device is blocked intentionally, or if the necessary configurations are not setup for the device. To check if the necessary configurations are setup, head over the Venues page and search for the venue using the search bar or find it in the list of venues.
  1. Click on the name of the venue you’d like to edit from the Venues page
  2. Click on the “Edit” button at the top right of the page
  3. Scroll down to the Taxi Butler PLUS Options section
  4. Ensure that the configuration for the Taxi Butler PLUS is enabled by clicking on the dropdown next to “Enabled” and choose “Yes”

My device is asking me for a code

In some cases, the device’s screen may lock itself after a period of inactivity. To unlock it, simply enter the code “1234” when prompted to do so and press on the “checkmark” button on they keyboard.

The device is unresponsive

The device won’t power on

If your Taxi Butler PLUS won’t power on, you can try:
  • Plugging it into a power outlet and letting it charge for at least 30 minutes
  • Using a different USB-C cable
  • Using a different power outlet

  • Plugging it into a power outlet and letting it charge for at least 30 minutes before turning it on
