# Unlinking or blocking a device

> Learn how to unlink or block a device.

## Unlinking a device

If you want to move the device to another venue, you'll need to <Tooltip tip="Also known as unregister">unlink</Tooltip> the device from its current venue.

  <Step title="Find the venue">
    To unlink a device from an venue, go to the [“Venues” page](/fleets/portal/pages/venues) and select the venue you want to unlin the device from.

    From the [Venue page](/fleets/portal/pages/venues#the-venue-page), click on the [“Taxi Butler(s) at venue” tab](/fleets/portal/pages/venues#the-venue-page).

  <Step title="Identify & unlink the correct device">
    On the [“Taxi Butler(s) at venue” tab](/fleets/portal/pages/venues#the-venue-page), you'll see a list of devices linked to this venue.

    Using the Device ID, found on the back of the device itself, find the correct device in the list and press on "Unregister". You'll be prompted to confirm this action.

## Blocking a device

In some scenarios, you may want to block a device. This means that the device will no longer usable by the venue until you unblock it.

To block a device, follow the steps above until Step 2. Then, click on the "Block" button to block the device.

You can also unblock a device by clicking on "Unblock".
